There's a reason we have 200+ five star reviews
I wanted to purchase online from Sydney and I actually picked up the phone to ask more details about the rug, Najaf is so friendly and patient to explain the art of a fine rug and differences between a vintage and new rug. The communication via email with his daughter Maria was very effective and cordial. The product was just as described and as per online photos and very well priced for the quality. Very happy with my purchase..in fact I have purchased a 2nd rug from them.

I think we bought the most beautiful Afghan rugs available at Najaf's! One of the rugs matches my rug I inherited from my mother and the second one is just the most colourful and prettiest rug I found on the website. The quality of both rugs is exceptional and I can't take my eyes off them. Thank you to Najaf and Maria for a great experience. I'm already saving up for another rug!

Great range of rugs. Easy to communicate with each time when I had a few questions pre-purchase. Rug arrived in good condition and well packed (with personal touch like handwritten note, plus rug care instructions). Really like the unique vintage rug I bought from Najaf - not like anything I had seen elsewhere. Interesting background story to the owner of the company, who is clearly an expert on rugs!

Wow what awesome customer service from Maria. First time I have bought anything online. The rug I chose is beautiful. Within an hour of chatting with Maria via email I received a tracking order from Australia post. Would definitely buy from them again.

Over the last few years we have bought several rugs from Najaf. Most in person at their magnificent shop. The last online. Their website is great and provides several perspective photos for every rug for sale. Najaf's rugs are authentic, exquisite and provide a rare opportunity to own and enjoy masterfully created rugs. The last purchase was despatched within 2 days of placing the online order! Highly recommend

Meet Najaf

The founder of Najaf Rugs, Najaf Mazari, learned the intricate art of making rugs at the age of 12 in his hometown of Mazar-E-Sharif in Afghanistan. In 2001, he arrived in Australia as a refugee and built this business from the ground up six months after his arrival. His passion for rugs still shows in every single rug he sources. There's no better decision than buying a rug from someone who knows every rug's ins and outs and how to weave one.
