- Low pile
Size: 285 x 181 cm | 9'3" x 5'9"
Material: Hand-spun wool on a cotton base
Origin: Northern Afghanistan
Construction: Handwoven
Condition: Brand new
Style: This one-of-a-kind rug features the Traditional Oushak design. Mixing the traditional elements of the antique design with a contemporary twist of the modern colourway and the high-quality hand-spun wool makes this incredible rug.
The hand-spun wool is a staple in high-quality, fine Chobi Rugs as it adds beautiful characteristics that machine-spun wool cannot produce. The wool becomes much more durable, velvet-like and almost silky to the touch. In addition, it adds a glow to the rug, making the overall finish much more luxurious.
This rug has a low, almost flat pile. This intentional look makes the rug almost vintage or antique.

Meet Najaf
The founder of Najaf Rugs, Najaf Mazari, learned the intricate art of making rugs at the age of 12 in his hometown of Mazar-E-Sharif in Afghanistan. In 2001, he arrived in Australia as a refugee and built this business from the ground up six months after his arrival. His passion for rugs still shows in every single rug he sources. There's no better decision than buying a rug from someone who knows every rug's ins and outs and how to weave one.
